Just a quick note on this Sunday morning to link to this interview with Mario Bellatin. Apparently he’s directing a film (an adaptation of Bola negra). And finishing a four-hundred-page novel (an unprecedented length in this oeuvre of hundred-page novellas). And also exhibiting the Hundred Thousand Books of Bellatin at Documenta 13, where he also plans to eat at a Chinese restaurant. Good stuff to follow.
I navigated over to the Documenta home page and saw this video by William Kentridge. Many temporalities together, each one corresponding to a different metronome, make a chorus. There is no one experience of time, only a plethora of events occurring at different speeds coming together to make a common world. It’s worth clicking over to see and hear.
